Role purpose

The Business & Sales Operations (BSO) group is becoming the hub for business & marketing planning, sales & region/segment operations within Coats Digital. The team drives the operational procedures, targets & timelines to manage business performance, orchestrates the business and marketing planning for growth and provides analysis and insight to support Coats Digital LT.

The purpose of this role is to manage the administration of key internal business systems that are the responsibility of the BSO Team. The administration covers;

  • Collaborating on requirements from the business, creation and gaining approval of specifications for changes, configuring, testing and deploying (DEV -> UAT -> PROD): data, UI, processes, views, dashboards, reports, etc.
  • Working with colleagues across Coats Digital and Coats Groups to integrate data and systems, and administrate these connections. This includes working with colleagues on the evolution of data architecture to provide best solution as the business grows.
  • Administering an integrated suite of applications, in terms of existing integrations, and configuring new integrations.
  • Monitoring data quality within the integrated solution, and managing existing, plus devising new data exception reports and notifications to the users. Following up with support to users in how to resolve data exceptions, including documentation, coaching, ‘hand-holding’, as appropriate.
  • Collaborate on the evolution of the integrated solution to support business strategy and tactics across a 5 year growth plan through appropriate data capture, reporting of KPIs and delivery of Insights to inform Leadership.
  • Providing user support.

The primary platform used by Coats Digital and Coats Group is Dynamics D365, using Customer Engagement as the CRM solution. The Microsoft stack is used to connect an integrated suite of applications hosted on Azure;

  • CRM (Sales and Customer Services)
  • Sales Insights and predictive forecasting
  • Business Intelligence visualisation, Custom Processes (within and between Apps), Custom Apps
  • Marketing Automation
  • Finance / ERP
  • Customer Data Platform (ingest, merge, unify disparate data sources, and apply ML / AI models to predict behavior, define segmentation or execute activation).

Coats are looking for individuals with a Growth Mindset, as the ability to learn new skills / tools, and define new solutions is a core requirement.

The candidate would have experience of working with large volumes of B2B data, working on Azure platforms, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels across the organization and partner organizations, both business and technical.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Administrating the internal Coats Digital systems for which BSO are responsible. This includes, but is not limited to;
    • D365 Customer Engagement CRM; Sales Hub and Customer Services Hub
    • D365 Sales Insights, AI models for Leads and Opportunities, and Predictive Forecasting models
    • ClickDimensions Marketing Automation Solution within D365
    • Customer Insights (Audience Insights module) Customer Data Platform
    • Continuing to evolve an integrated solution using Power Platform (PowerBI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
    • Working with our MS reseller / implementation partners to support changes to Business Central
    • Working with Global Administration Teams for Coats Digital Licensing allocation for D365 and O365
    • Experience of Azure; data sets reside on the Azure platform
  • Experience of D365 is essential, but a growth mindset and ability to quickly learn all the elements of the Coats Digital Business Solutions is more important than existing experience of all the above.
  • Collaborating on requirements from the business, creating and gaining approval of specifications for changes, configuring, testing and deploying (DEV -> UAT -> PROD): data, UI, processes, views, dashboards, reports, integration, etc.
  • Enabling user training, coaching and ‘hand-holding’ for Coats Digital and partner users; either live training, or Learning Management System (LMS) based training.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across Coats Digital and Coats Group to integrate data and systems, and administrate these connections. This includes working with colleagues on the evolution of data architecture to provide best solution as the business grows.
  • Administering an integrated suite of applications, in terms of existing integrations, and configuring new integrations.

  • Providing resolutions to issues experienced by Coats Digital and partner users.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

Essential

  • Configuration of Dynamics365
  • Experience of working with Sales & Marketing teams and processes
  • Element of Business Analysis: collaborating on requirements, specifications, configuring, testing, deployment
  • Database / data tools & data manipulation (i.e. SSIS, Data Factory)
  • Azure platform
  • CRM experience
